After being released by reigning champions, Gaborone United (GU), striker Tiroyamodimo 'TRX' Mohambi says he is ready to put the disappointment behind him and move on. The stocky marksman is yet to find a team but says he is ready to play even in the First Division.

The stocky striker was reported not to be on coach Mike Sithole's good books at GU though the club claims the whole technical team is agreed that he must go. Mohambi told Monitor Sport that he was hurt when he was told he is not needed at GU because he has not delivered since moving from Extension Gunners last year. "I thought I would use this season to repay them for registering me but life goes on. I have to live with the fact that Mike no longer wanted me in his team. I know management still believed in me but he wanted me out because of some personal issues and there is no use in trying to plead for my stay because he could end up not using me," the striker says.Although he feels hard done, Mohambi did not perform to expectations at the Reds. He was overshadowed by the likes of Ronald Chikomo and Sageby Sandaka. His performance was a far cry from what he did at Gunners.

"Like I said, I did not achieve what I wanted to when I joined GU and if I was given another chance, I would prove my worth. The team deserved better from me, but my low scoring rate was a result of several factors. My teammates would tell you how much I contributed to them scoring goals, though I would have wanted to score more myself," Mohambi says.
