Mmono still harbours Olympic dreams

The 2003 All Africa Games gold medalist, Kabelo Mmono, believes he is yet to reach his peak despite failing to break the 2.20m high jump mark for five years. "Considering the fact that a number of highfliers in the high jump in this year's Olympics were over 32, I believe I still have a chance," he said. The 28-year-old Mmono is hoping for a better performance at the London Olympics when he will be 32.

He said that the three-year sting he spent in Wales from 2005 has transformed him into a better athlete. He said he learnt many things about training and preparations. He hopes to use the experience to become a better athlete and to impart skills to others.
