Mmesi maintains promotion dream still alive

At the beginning of the season, Killer Giants' coach, Enos Mmesi declared that his side will be champions of the First Division (South), but the team has somehow had a slow start.

After this bold declaration many had expected his team to start like a house on fire as he had claimed that he had a powerful squad at his disposal. But that has not happened. In fact Killer Giants are among the bottom teams, in seventh spot with only seven points to their credit after six games, 11 points behind log leaders, Prisons XI. Although Mmesi stubbornly believes that his dream is still alive, promotion prospects are bleak. "My dream of promotion at the end of this season is still very much alive.

Of course I would have wanted to be somewhere up there, but I have only lost three games and in this league you can lose five games and emerge champions," he told Mmegi Sport as his team prepared to take on Prisons XI. The voluble coach said he respected Prisons XI for their achievements this season, but warned that his opponents should not read too much into Killer Giants' loss last week when going into this crucial encounter."Credit to Prisons XI, but the most important thing now is for me to motivate my players after last week's loss against Mochudi Buffaloes.
