Mixed fortunes for Sevens team in South Africa

The national Sevens rugby team had mixed fortunes over the weekend in the on-going northern region circuit in South Africa after winning two of their five matches.

The sevens team is taking part in the circuit which has been divided into four tournaments. The competition began a fortnight ago.

Botswana Rugby Union (BRU) executive secretary, Zilwele Khumalo told Mmegi Sport that in the first games, the national team did not do well due to fatigue and inexperience. He said the squad has some young players who are still trying to find their feet.
