Coach Clever Hunda got a shock welcome at the helm of Notwane as he watched his new team go down 1-0 to Serowe side, Miscellaneous, at the SSKB stadium on Saturday. The well-travelled gaffer started the match with a very unpopular line-up giving debuts to five new signings, including goalkeeper Itumeleng Selapa from Sowa Flamingos. Veteran defender, Kgomare Mothuba who was signed from Township Rollers, started in central defence with other new arrivals, Thabiso Mothibi, Tshegetsang Lopang and Tumisani Tsotsi also starting the match. Tsotsi had a chance to prove his worth in the opening minutes of the first half when he went face to face with the keeper, but released a harmless shot that was easily dealt with. Both sides played some attacking football with the home side having an upper hand. Selapa performed heroics on the 20th minute to deny Tsobetsi Keiketlile a goal from inside the box. Notwane continued firing blanks prompting Hunda to make a substitution five minutes before half-time.

Notwane were caught napping a minute into the second half as Gookeditswe Kanyevu pounced on a loose ball from outside the box giving the visitors the lead. Miscellaneous were now more comfortable on the ball dominating in possession and creating chances. Substitute Moyenga Chakovu nearly doubled the visitors' lead on the 65th minute with a tricky header. Selapa reacted quickly to fist the ball away for a corner. Chakovu would become a thorn in the Notwane defence, missing two more chances after finishing with the rearguard that looked shaky. On the 90th, he chipped the ball over Selapa, who was way out of his line, but the ball went narrowly wide.Notwane had tried some slow build-ups to level the matters, but could not gel upfront. Even the introduction of speedy winger, Lemogang Maswena in the second half could not liven up the Toronto attack. Speaking to Sport Monitor after the game, Hunda said he was on trial and error mode as the team is re-building. He decried lack of firing power upfront as the contributing factor for the loss.  "For the whole 90 minutes we did not have a shot at goal. We cannot win a game playing like this. A lot needs to be done with the strikers," he said.
