MedRescue First Division South powerhouse, Mogoditshane Fighters maintained their lead on Sunday when they held title rivals, Naughty Boys to a 1-1 draw. The tightly-contested match was played at the Naughty Boys' ground in Tlokweng.

Fighters fielded veterans like former Zebras' men Masego Ntshingane, Barney Marman, Moses Moloi and Anthony Matengu.  The Brazilians delighted spectators as they did their familiar Samba dance. Fighters held an upper hand for most part of the first half but failed to score after missing clear-cut chances. It was a game of misses as Naughty Boys also created chances but failed to score. Thabane Ngwenya and Oteng Modise wasted good chances to give Naughty Boys the lead with only goalkeeper Matengu to beat.

Ngwenya redeemed himself when he shot Naughty Boys in the lead just before half time. The first half ended with the homeside on top. Fighters suffered a setback when one of their players, Patrick Mpofu was injured and had to be substituted before the start of the first half. He was replaced by Emmanuel Sedibe.
