Local football has been rocked by fresh match-fixing allegations with claims that relegated Motlakase Power Dynamos paid Nico United officials to influence the outcome of the two sides' decisive league match a fortnight ago.

The two clubs clashed in a crucial be MOBILE Premier League match that Motlakase had to win to survive the chop.Exactly a fortnight after the game, reports coming out of the Nico United camp are that that two club officials were paid to fix the match. Senior players claim that the officials received P25,000 from Motlakase to influence the outcome of the game. However, the players stated that they won the duel 2-1 because they were not in the match-fixing arrangement. The win condemned Motlakase to the First Division after only two seasons in the topflight.

"When we played Motlakase in the last game of the season, two of our officials were given money (by Motlakase officials) to influence the outcome of the game. It happened during the week leading to the game but the officials never told us (players) about it so we played our normal game and won," said a senior player.
