The physique of a bustling striker is absent as Masitara's lazy walk belies his fiery goal-scoring instincts.Unknown when he touched Botswana shores in 2007, he was soon introducing himself with devastating impact. He finished joint top goal scorer on 18 goals with then Mochudi Centre Chiefs' front man, Jerome 'JJ' Ramatlhakwana.

The following season he proved his maturity and ability to adapt to the local environment with a haul of 27 goals, which was enough to see him retain the Green Boot Award. He was soon on his way to Mozambique after his exploits impressed Mocambola side, Malcumana. But a barren spell, uncharacteristic of the goal poacher, followed.Masitara experienced a goal drought in a country occasionally ravaged by floods. He found the net only three times and was deemed redundant.
