LOC chairperson, Moreo Modisenyane said the number of spectators increased from last year's lowest attendance of 980 to a high of 1,300 in the current campaign.

Season 8 of the competition enters the semi-final stage, with Jwaneng Galaxy facing BDF XI on Saturday, while the biggest encounter of the round is the Gaborone derby between Township Rollers and Gaborone United at the National Stadium on Sunday.

“We have vowed to increase the number of spectators and from the quarter finals we recorded good numbers. This Saturday and Sunday we are expecting an increase of spectators attending games. Last week, Friday tickets went on sale and we are already having a good response. Security is not compromised and we have never had cases regarding poor security. The activation encompasses selling merchandise and giveaways as a way of attracting more supporters.

Botswana Premier League chief executive officer, Thabo Ntshinogang said tickets are to be sold at CA Sales in Gaborone while in Jwaneng, fans can get the tickets at Shell Filling Station. Tickets are selling for P50 for the grand stand, P40 for Panda and P30 for the north and south stands.  For the Galaxy-BDF XI match, tickets are to be sold for P30.
