Mascarenhas scoops 10th Masters title

Leading local bowler, Lebogang Mascarenhas won her 10th Botswana Bowling Association (BBA) Masters title on Sunday, becoming the first bowler to achieve such a feat. The Francistown Bowls Club hosted the competition.

The Orapa bowls club player won after accumulating eight points, clinching nine out of 10 sets.  Tirelo Buckley of Jwaneng Club finished second after winning six of the 10sets while Pauline Lekone was third with six points.  Mascarenhas told Mmegi Sport said it was tough as she does not train regularly in Maun due to lack of bowling facilities.

The former Phikwe Club bowler said, she was however determined to win. She admitted competition was tough, facing former champions.
