Platinum Stars' coach, Owen da Gama, has hinted that he is interested in Botswana international goalkeeper Modiri Marumo although he claims it could be difficult to register two foreign custodians.

"Yes, we are interested in him but the challenge is that we already have a foreign goalkeeper and it could be difficult to register two foreign goalkeepers," Da Gama said. Platinum Stars' number-one goalkeeper is Zimbabwean international, Tapuwa Kapini, who will be out of contract at the end of the season like many players at the Rustenburg outfit.

Interestingly, Da Gama has said that squad members are 'playing for contracts' for the rest of the season, to give everyone an equal opportunity to stake their claim for a place in the squad for the next campaign. Marumo has attracted the attention of the Platinum Stars' coach because of his top form for South African National First Division side, Bay United. Before moving to South Africa, the former BDF XI custodian played in Egypt for Haras El-Hodoud.
