Mochudi Centre Chiefs' sensational midfielder Steven 'Shangwari' Maposa has promised to continue working hard in a bid to help his cup-starved side to win silverware in the coming season.

The player who is respected for his wizardry and eye for goal rejoined Magosi at the start of the last season though he did not feature regularly in the star-studded side.
Some commentators pointed out that the career of the former Under-23 international is as good as over because he did not see much action at Chiefs. But towards the end of the season, Magosi coach Mike Sithole gave Maposa a run and he thanked the coach with some stellar performances.
The player told Monitor Sport over the weekend that he is far from finished. "It's only that people like to make conclusions. When I returned to Chiefs, I struggled with my touch hence I didn't play. But I told myself that I should continue working hard because I know what I'm made of," said the midfielder. Though he performed brilliantly towards the end of the season, Maposa said that he still has to work hard on his performance. "I wouldn't say I was happy with my performance because I believe I can do better than that. All I need is more games for me to get to my best," Maposa told Monitor Sport.
Though disappointed that they did not win the league despite the material they had, Maposa told Monitor Sport that they can do it in the coming season. "Chiefs is a good side and if it wasn't for some internal problems, we could have won the league. Next season, if we want to win the league, the management should keep the same team.
That is what I would like to see happening," Maposa said. He added that Chiefs prospects in the Orange Kabelano Charity Cup this weekend look good.
Sithole told Monitor Sport that he was impressed by the performances of Maposa towards the end of the season. "I did talk to him after he failed to play in the first round and he improved tremendously as he came for training on time. He remains a key figure in our midfield in the coming season," said the Zambian tactician.
