Male factor in women football

Botswana Football Association (BFA) president David Fani has said one of the reasons the Women Football Commission (WFC) had to be dissolved is that it was male dominated.

He explained that it is not right for the women's game to be run by a body dominated by men. "We are not saying we do not want men in women football but we are saying women should always be in the forefront," he said.

He said that though officials should be voted on merit irrespective of gender, women will not get empowered in football when the body running their game is dominated by men.
