Makwala's Jamaica move delayed

Jamaica-bound sprinter Isaac Makwala's move to the Caribbean country hangs in the balance after a few hiccups in his travel arrangements. Makwala could not fly to Kingston a fortnight ago as he did not have a visa to pass through the United States of America (US) on February 25.

The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) then rescheduled his trip to Sunday. However, the athletics' mother body did not purchase his air ticket on Sunday.

"Initially, I was supposed to pass through America but I did not have a visa and then yesterday (Sunday) they did not pay for the (air) ticket. That means I have to wait for IAAF," Makwala told Mmegi Sport.
