Makwala to witness Bolt's Olympic bid launch

Botswana's sprinter, Isaac Makwala will witness Usain Bolt's 2012 London Olympic Games bid launch at the University of Technology (UTech) Classic at the National Stadium in the Jamaican capital, Kingston on Saturday.

The double sprint world record holder and Olympic Games sprint champion over both the 100m and 200 metres - will run on the Racers Track Club 4x100 metres relay team, alongside Yohan Blake, Mario Forsythe and Warren Weir.

An Asafa Powell-led side is expected to challenge Bolt and company and Makwala is looking forward to drawing some inspiration from his heroes. Makwala, who will miss the inaugural Sports View International meet this weekend, will not be a bystander at the UTech Classic as he will take part in the individual 400 metre race and has set a target for himself.
