PALAPYE: A single goal winger,Thebe Maiketso was enough to hand visiting Gaborone United a 1-0 victory over Motlakase Power Dynamos FC in a Coca Cola Cup last-sixteen match at Palapye Swallows Grounds on Saturday afternoon.
Maiketso navigated his way past Motlakase defence to receive a pass from Zambian Makundika Sakala and beat Alistair Matizanadzo in Motlakase's posts. Maiketso was on the mark with a well placed right foot with only eleven minutes into the game and his strike remained all that separated the two sides.The home side dominated the game from the first whistle, but despite all their efforts it proved difficult for the Oris 'Boyo' Radipotsane coached side to get the ball past goalkeeper Noah Maposa.Radipotsane's charges controlled the flow of play especially in the middle of the park with Barulaganye Bolofete, Silas Kemiso and Thatayotlhe Gaokgorwe giving the opposition a difficult time.The trio was good defensive wise with Bolofete denying Stephen Maposa any space to manuevre.
