Mahalapye Junior Secondary School boys team are this year’s Copa Coca-Cola Under-15 champions after defeating Montshiwa Junior Secondary School by a solitary goal on Sunday.

Their victory follows an intensive weekend full of action since Friday when the battle for supremacy started. They went home with gold medals and a trophy. In the girls category, Radisele JSS were also victorious in the final after thrashing Sesolo JSS 6-0. The two schools will also receive sporting equipment from the sponsors, Copa Coca-Cola, for their sterling performances.

The equipment will not only be for football, but will include other ball games under BISA.  Speaking to Mmegi Sport after the games, head of operations and marketing at Copa Coca-Cola, Moitshephi Sefako said this year’s games were different in that they increased the rewards for teams. He also said they sponsored the Under-17 athletes. He however revealed that the Under-15 winners would benefit more.
