Mafolofolo men will be seeking a rare win over BDF VI when the two sides meet in the men's final of the Debswana Volleyball Independence Cup tomorrow at the Police College. The two giants have already met twice in the tournament with BDF VI coming tops.

The army side has won the seven-year-old annual tournament six times. The only time they failed to lift the cup was last season when they were dethroned by another army side, Diphatsa. BDF VI go to tomorrow's final as clear favourites to recapture the title. Selebatso Mabutho of BDF VI believes they will be champions again though they have not trained adequately due to the rains.

He contends that his players are more experienced than their Mafolofolo counterparts. He asserted that when the going gets tough, experience will be a crucial factor in the final though attack will be the pillar of his team.  Mabutho said if the rains continued, they would play the final without training. He believes that though they have dominated the tournament, history will count for nothing tomorrow. He said all teams come extra prepared when they face his side. Mabutho contends that their journey to the finals was a very easy one. He explained that it was evident that their opponents were rusty due to inactivity. He said the tournament was not as competitive as before.
