Mafolofolo Maul Victory Seekers

Mafolofolo men's volleyball team continued their good run in the ongoing Debswana Cup when they defeated Victory Seekers 3-0 in a one-sided match played at the Botswana National Productivity Centre (BNPC) Courts on Saturday.

The win was their third in the last four games they played. They have only lost once against Desert Kings and defeated Police and Prisons before their game against Teletswana who they played later on Saturday. Mafolofolo dominated from the onset. Victory Seekers looked panicky in the first set and never played like a unit. Though they had good passes, their blocking and spiking were atrocious. In the circumstances, Mafolofolo easily won the set 25-9.

The second set proved too difficult for the lethargic Victory Seekers. Concentration lapses and lacked of firepower especially in the spikes, naturally cost them dearly.
Mafolofolo on the other hand continued where they left off as they dominated the second set, which they eventually won 25-8. In the third set, the Seekers came back strongly as they seemed to have regained some confidence but lost 25-22. The loss was the third after defeats at the hands of Police and Teletswana since the tournament started.
