Madagascar girl dominates Botswana junior open

Madagascar tennis ace, Zarah Razafimahatratra maintained her dominance in the Under-18 girls' category of the Botswana Junior Open tennis tournament when she emerged victorious in the final.

The top seed showed class to cruise past Tunisia's Nour Abbes 6-2, 6-2 in a duel where she was in total control from the outset. On her way to the final, Razafimahatratra accounted for Chaime Roudami 6-2, 6-0 in the second round in what was clearly her easiest tie of the tournament. In the quarterfinal, she made light work of South Africa's IIze Hattingh. She disposed third seed Natasha Fourouclas of South Africa in the semis to set-up a date with Abbes in the final.

Mauritius pair, Rita Atik and Zainab El Honari won the girl's Under-14 doubles while Chisomo Lumeta of Malawi and Madagascan Adriantokiana Ratsimandres won in the boy's category. Lina Qostal and Intessar Rassif of Mauritius emerged victorious in the girls' Under-16 doubles. Egyptian duo of Mazen Osama and Omar Sherif won in the boys' category.
