Mabote reclaims top spot but misses World Championships

Table tennis ace, Bonolo Mabote reclaimed top spot in local rankings when he won the Gaborone 2014 Open over the Easter weekend. However, the player will not be in the national team traveling to Tokyo, Japan for the World Championships this week.

The tournament runs from April 26 to May 8. Mabote has been out of national team action since last year in October when he was suspended due to gross misconduct. He missed the two-day Zone Six Games in February in Lusaka, Zambia.
