Locals Fail To Impress At Diacore Marathon

Paulos Ndangi of Namibia was second while Albert Kanion from Kenya was third. Mutanduri won P12,000 cash, Ndangi took home P5,000 and Kanion pocketed P3,000. Mutandiro told Monitor Sport defending the title was important to him, but he did not enjoy the race.
He said his competition tried to bottle him, especially Kenyan runners. He said that made his running difficult. Mutandiro said after realising the strategy he decided to stick to the way he had prepared for the marathon hence winning.
