Local companies pocket P1.6m from Francistown matches

Local companies engaged to provide services during national and international matches at the Francistown Sports Complex were paid over P1.6 million. The Minister of Lands and Housing, Prince Maele told Parliament on Wednesday that the ministry is committed to local empowerment.

He was answering a question on behalf of the Minister of Youth, Sport and Culture (MYSC), Thapelo Olopeng.

Maele said MYSC is committed to empowering local entrepreneurs based in Francistown and the surrounding areas. He said it will therefore continue to engage them.
