PALAPYE: Botswana Athletics Association (BAA) affiliated clubs have told the association to lift the suspension of six athletics clubs suspended for failing to meet the deadline for subscription fees.

This was resolved at the BAA annual general meeting (AGM) held in Palapye on Saturday.

The said clubs UB, BDF (Gaborone), BDF (Maun), New Vision, Selebi-Phikwe and United Sprinters failed to pay the P200 annual subscriptions by the end of January. They were also charged 10 percent interest. Though the clubs were suspended their athletes were allowed by the association to participate in its activities because they formed part of the national team.
