Former national team boxer Gilbert Khunwane was elected the new Botswana Boxing Association (BoBA) vice president technical at the Annual General Assembly (AGA) held in Gantsi on Saturday. Khunwane replaces Dirang Thipe whom he beat to the post after being voted by 10 affiliates to Thipe's four.

The race for the post was the most interesting in the lead up to the elections as many posts in the executive committee were not contested. President, Michael Moroka and Publicity secretary, Willoughby Kemoeng stood unopposed in their positions.

BoBA hold their elections in a staggered format to avoid removing the entire committee and replacing it with a new one at once.
