Kumakwane community will be treated to a two-day football tournament from April 12 during the Easter holidays courtesy of the Kgosipula brothers.

The tournament is the brainchild of two well-known goalkeepers, Keeagile Kgosipula, who plays for Township Rollers, his brother, Siamang Kgosipula, who plays for Notwane as well as Tumelo Bogatsu who owns an organisation named Kgosipula Brothers Charity Events.

The tournament started last year and featured four teams; Digodi, Kumakwane Checkers, Kumakwane United as well as Mochudi Centre Chiefs. Kumakwane United emerged victorious at the time. Speaking to The Monitor Sport, Bogatsu said even though they did not raise enough money to accommodate the teams’ prizes last year, they went an extra mile and used their own pocket money to achieve their aim.  He also said the tournament’s objective is to raise money with a view to give back to the community of Kumakwane.
