Kgathi is the fairest of them all

Like a coach of a star studded team, President Ian Khama was spoilt for choice as he picked the next Minister of Sports, Youth and Culture.

In a Parliament littered with sports-passionate legislators, Khama faced a selection poser. But in the end he settled for Bobirwa MP, Shaw Kgathi, a former director of sport and lately Assistant Minister of Agriculture. May be as a prelude to what was in store for him, Kgathi was the guest of honour at the be MOBILE Premier League awards in August. He was standing in for then minister, Gladys Kokorwe who has since quit active politics.

Khama himself is an ardent sports follower having been involved with at least two Premier League sides in the past. He has been a patron of BDF XI, Mogoditshane Fighters and First Division side, Miscellaneous.
