Key players in doubt for Under-23 clash

The Young Zebras face a mammoth task when they clash with the Zimbabwe Under-23 side in an All-Africa Games qualifier return leg at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Zebras gave the Young Warriors advantage in the first leg when the two sides drew 2-2 and now the job might be made more difficult because the availability of key players is in doubt. The team has barely prepared for the tie because of the Easter holidays while the availability of four players writing their examinations at the University of Botswana is not guaranteed.

Extension Gunners' winger, Kgololo Leteane, is another doubtful starter for Sunday's match while Notwane midfielder Kenamile Mani has been ruled out with an injury. The Botswana Football Association (BFA) had initially indicated that Leteane would travel to Harare straight after the Coca-Cola Cup final tomorrow between his club, Extension Gunners and Motlakase. But Gunners' assistant coach, Nelson Olebile, said yesterday the player is not likely to join the Under-23 side for the Harare clash.
