Kenyans dominate GC marathon

Phakalane: Kenyan long distance runners, Felix Kipkoror and Benjamin Kipro Serem were stars of the day yesterday coming first and second respectively in the second edition of the 42.2 kilometres Steinmetz Gaborone City Marathon.

The Kenyans had to beat stiff competition from a strong Lesotho contingent of Jacob Khatoane, Tshepo Ramarene and Ramolefi Motseloa.

The two were separated by some milliseconds to the finish line with Kipkorir finishing at 02:16:25, while Serem registered a time of 02:16:46 to come second.  Khatoane came third with a time of 02:16:49 followed by his countrymen Ramarene and Motseloa on 02:16:51 and 02:18:03 respectively.
