First Division South League Committee is yet to decide on the vacant chairperson’s post, following Tariq Babitseng election as the Botswana Football Association (BFA) vice president (administration). However, vice chairperson Sam Keitireng is tipped to succeed Babitseng.

Keitireng told Mmegi Sport the committee is yet to meet to decide a way forward.  He said the committee has an option of either co-opting someone from elsewhere or to pick an official from the clubs. “You must remember that our committee was elected back into office unopposed in July. He said the decision to select an individual to the committee depends on the structures.

For his part, Babitseng said Keitireng is expected to take over. He said in the absence of a chairperson, the vice automatically takes his position.
