KBL bankrolls BRU

Botswana Rugby Union (BRU) received a major boost yesterday when it received a three-year P300,000 sponsorship from Kgalagadi Breweries Limited (KBL). When presenting the cheque, KBL Market Development Manager, Pinkie Tau said that building a partnership with BRU is a good step.

She said they have been involved with different sports and now their focus is on grassroots development. She said that they have realised the enthusiasm of BRU and that is why they have entered the partnership.

BRU president, Dave Gilbert said that although sports sponsorship in the country is relatively new, it is growing. He said the growth and the development of sport in the country has seen rugby competing successfully in the international arena. He added that the additional revenue sports get through sponsorship fast tracks the development of the skills required to become world champions.
