Kaelo unfazed as he basks in promotion glory

Security Systems coach, Kaelo 'Wire' Kaelo is not worried about his future at the team as he celebrates a maiden promotion to the Premier League.

Kaelo has persevered for eight years to finally realise his dream of leading the team to the elite league.
"I am happy today because I have waited for this day for a long time. When we got promoted to the First Division, I knew we were capable, but I did not want to blow my own horn," he told Mmegi Sport after his team sweated for a 2-1 victory over Killer Giants in Ramotswa.Since their promotion from the regional league, Systems have been a force in the First Division South league, but the turning point according to Kealo was two months ago when they beat Masitaoka to go top of the log replacing early pace setters Prisons XI. The Warders are now eyeing promotion through the play-offs.

"That was when I realised that my boys were really up to the challenge. Initially, I was just thinking of how we should avoid the drop after just one season. I have to admit, in the last two games our play was not that impressive, but we got the results, which is more important. That shows that my players had good character," he said. He noted that like any other team, it was important to make changes and adjustments suitable for top -flight football. "But as I said right now, I am not thinking of the future but celebrate the achievement."
While Kaelo could be excused for paying little attention to the future it could be that he was aware of his predicament.
