Jungle queens make history

Jungle Queens made history when they became the first Spar Netball League side to score 98 goals and concede none when they humiliated hapless PUBS in a one-sided match played at the BONA Courts on Saturday.

Queens put aside the disappointment of travelling all the way to Kanye early on Saturday only to find the courts in a poor state. According to officials, the courts were cracked and in no state to be used for competitive games. The weekend fixtures had to be moved back to Gaborone late on Saturday.

And when Queens, who were playing their third game of the season, trotted onto the court, they were merciless, keeping their opponents in their own half throughout the quarter as they maintained their unbeaten run.In the few instances that PUBS crossed the centre line - they were thwarted by Queens who had an easy task dealing with the PUBS front-line, who struggled to maintain possession. The Kanye side, PUBS, played like a tamed lion, showing no fighting spirit as their much-fancied opponents walked all over them.PUBS' unnecessary errors made matters worse.
