Judo vice president calls for calm

Botswana Judo Federation (BJF) leadership says it is aware of the various concerns parents raised at their meeting convened at Lesedi Primary School and that the executive committee has already addressed most of the issues raised.

Some issues were in fact communicated to the parents during the last ordinary general meeting (OGM) held in September last year. Speaking to Mmegi Sport in interview at the weekend, BJF Vice President Henock Lawani admitted that there are problems within his organisation but called for calm saying a meeting is to be convened soon to iron out some of the unresolved issues raised.

"It is unfortunate that parents convened a meeting that we feel, as the executive, it did not warrant ourexplanations as it was outside our constitutional mandate. However, parents have a democratic right to convene a meeting anywhere they would want to, but that is not how you solve problemsâ" Lawani said.
