Japanese guru drills local karatekas

Revered Japanese karate instructor, Shihan Shigeki Uemura, who is presently in the country on a month long official visit, has hailed local karatekas rating them among the best in Africa after Egypt.

The well-travelled 7th dan black belt karateka has been to 20 African countries and singles out Batswana karatekas as the most technically astute in the continent.

He has been in the country for almost two weeks and said he was equipping karatekas with the new rules of the sport.
