It's over for Magosi

Gunners (0) 1 (Kgololo Leteane 80)
Chiefs (0) 1 (Moemedi Moatlhaping 47)

Frustration and anger were all over the expensively-assembled Mochudi Centre Chiefs' squad and their technical team after playing to a 1-1 draw with Extension Gunners at the Molepolole Sports Complex on Friday night. The draw cemented further the already existing reality that they have completed yet another season without any silverware despite the talent in the team.

The Peleng side definitely denied the Kgatleng giants any silverware after denying them five league points before eliminating them from the semi-finals of the Coca-Cola Cup two weeks ago. The cup kept Magosi's hopes alive, as Township Rollers were already home and dry with the league. It was not to be as Gunners kicked them out en route to win the lucrative cup last weekend.  Mapantsula emerged victorious in the league's first round fixture, a loss that allowed Rollers to pull further away from the chasing pack, at the time Francistown side, ECCO City Greens, were among the favourites behind Rollers. The Friday draw made things even much easier for Rollers who then needed only a solitary point from their remaining three games to be crowned champions.
