Interest in Ramatlhakwana grows

Though on-loan Vasco da Gama forward, Jerome 'JJ' Ramatlhakwana, has exercised his one-year option to renew his contract with South Africa Premiership side, Santos, his agent, Nicky Paiva, has revealed that he will turn out for a new club next season.

The agent said the striker will move to a club in South Africa or Europe. Ramatlhakwana has been instrumental for the Zebras, scoring five goals in the current Africa Cup of Nations campaign and Paiva has disclosed that more than one South African Premier League club is interested in his client.

"There's more than one South African club interested in him and we are also looking at opportunities in Europe."There certainly is interest and we should tie up something in the next few weeks. We have got the blessing from Santos to find him a new club so he will be at a new club in the new season," Paiva told Mmegi Sport from South Africa. Santos have given the agent the blessing to get a new club for 'JJ' once his six-month loan deal with Vasco expires, but the relegation-threatened side is battling to keep him.
