Independent sport fund to be set up

All Kasi clothing label marketing director, Mokaedi ‘Barnes’ Maplanka told Mmegi Sport on Wednesday that it is almost more than a year without sport activities and the question in everybody’s mind is when would sport resume.

“We came up with the ‘United for BW Sport’ campaign because we felt there is a need to unite the nation behind the sport. It is more than a year now without action, are corporates that used to sponsor sport still interested? Where are the supporters, are they still interested? The entire sport ecosystem has taken a dent. One of the biggest codes, football did not have a league sponsor before the pandemic,” he said.
