Hotspurs maintain lead over Satmos

FRANCISTOWN: First Division North leaders Mahalapye Hotspurs continued their impressive run with a 4-2 home win over Orapa Bucs to maintain a four-point lead over bitter rivals, FC Satmos.

Satmos were worthy 6-1 winners away to former Premier League side, Boteti Young Fighters in Orapa. Hotspurs are top with 34 points while Satmos and GNT both have 30 points from 16 matches. However, the Selebi-Phikwe side occupies second spot due to a superior goal difference.

Satmos will seek to move closer to Hotspurs when they play No Mathatha in a Selebi-Phikwe derby on Friday night.
Godfrey Tamirepi's Tonota FC shared spoils with No Mathata in a 1-1 draw in Selebi-Phikwe. GNT won 2-1 against BR Highlanders in Francistown. Maun Terrors beat rivals, Tigers, 2-1.  The match between Orapa Wanderers and Sua Flamingoes was postponed after the former's players and coach were injured in an accident a fortnight ago.
