Hockey Trip Descends Into Chaos

Botswana hockey team’s chaotic trip to Namibia reached new levels when the side withdrew from the African Junior Hockey Championship after making the long journey.

The team was expected to fight for a place in the qualifiers for the 2016 Junior World Cups to be held in Chile in November (boys) and India in December (girls).

The team left for Namibia last week and some players were left behind due to shortage of transport. It remains unclear if the players that were left behind eventually made the trip.
