Hockey realises tremendous Growth

Botswana Hockey Association (BHA) president, Itumeleng Francis has said that the sport has realised tremendous growth over the years.

He said yesterday that hockey has attracted many followers and almost all private schools and some government ones now play the game.

"This year alone around 5,000 kids were introduced to the sport, 41 new primary schools, 14 secondary schools and three tertiary schools have been brought on board. Towns and villages such as Serowe, Lobatse, Palapye, Maun, Francistown, Pitsane, Goodhope and Metlojane have been introduced and given equipment," he said.
