Head injury rules out Chikanda

The boxer suffered the injury after colliding with his opponent, Mmusi Tswiigi during the Botswana Boxing Association (BoBA) Independence Championship that was held at the Civic Centre. Chikanda told Mmegi Sport yesterday that he has a cut above his eye due to Tswiigi’s head butt.

“I started training yesterday morning but I have not recovered fully and that means I cannot compete on Saturday. I will just attend as a way of supporting other boxers,” he said.
