Harrison hails Gabonamong�s impact :: Mmegi Online

Township Rollers coach, Mark Harrison has hailed the importance of experienced defender, Mogogi Gabonamong in his team after Rollers’ second successive win.

Gabonamong missed the start of the season with an injury and returned a fortnight ago to the starting line-up in the 2-0 victory over Police XI in the second leg of the Mascom Top 8 quarter-final.

He played his second game on Saturday in the 5-1 demolition of Green Lovers in Molepolole where he partnered Mosha Gaolaolwe. Harrison said Gabonamong’s experience is vital in their quest to defend the title. “Gino needs to be there. He is such a good experience. He can control from the back and we have been waiting for him to get fit. He is back now and he has given us the opportunity to try out new systems,” he said. In his absence, Rollers conceded five goals in the league.
