Gwaze, Botlhole win J.K sitale chess tournament

Powerful International Chess Master, Robert Gwaze on Saturday won himself a P2,500 cash prize as he dominated at the one day chess event , the J.K Sitale memorial tournament, sponsored by the Funeral Service Group (FSG).

Kgalalelo Botlhole won in the women's category, pocketing P2 000, beating Tshepiso Lopang to 2nd place for P1,000. The tournament had attracted  a paltry  44 players including all the national team players and  Zimbabwean international master, Robert Gwaze.

Even though Kelapile Kelatlhilwe lamented of poor attendance he was happy that they did not incur any set backs during the competition.The top ten players from the men's category all got  prize money with Robert Gwaze scooping the P2,500, 00 first prize, while Providence Oatlhotse came second and pocketed P1,500.  The women were awarded with prize money up to position six with Kgalalelo Botlhole leading the pack, while Tshepiso Lopang  finished  second.
