Gwandu turns down SuperSport

Township Rollers' defender, Itayi Gwandu, has snubbed a chance to join South African champions, SuperSport United. The

Zimbabwean said this week that he was not happy with the arrangements proposed by a South Africa-based 'agent' hence he refused to honour the invite for trials at the club.

"It is true that I had secured trials at SuperSport but I later refused because of the arrangements that had been put in place.
 The agent who was organising the trials was saying I should bring money for accommodation and food. I felt that was a bit strange so I refused to go," Gwandu told Mmegi Sport. Last month, Gwandu  impressed Soweto giants, Orlando Pirates, during trials and he hopes to join them in the new season.
