Gunners still to register Confederations Cup squad

With the December 15 deadline approaching, Botswana's representatives in the CAF Confederation Cup, Extension Gunners, are yet to register players for the competition.

Last season's Coca-Cola Cup winners, Gunners host Madagascar's TANA before playing away in the return fixture.The first leg will be played on the weekend of February 17-19 with the return match following two weeks later. Participating teams are required to have submitted team lists before Thursday with the process being done electronically. Clubs receive players' licences soon after that.

Botswana Premier League (BPL) general manager Phutego Setete said communicating with CAF has proved difficult, hence the delays.He said that Gunners' participation was only accepted last week. The club's vice-chairman Keorapetse Kgasa said they had not finalised their squad as they were looking to offload and bring in new players.
