Extension Gunners' enterprising midfielder Othusitse Mahube impressed in a friendly against visiting South African First Division side Jomo Cosmos on Sunday. Cosmos' players and caretaker coach Andrew 'Jaws of Life' Rabutla hailed the midfielder after the match which Gunners won 1-0.

Lucky Mhlathe said he was impressed by Mahube's displays and that he hoped his boss, Jomo Sono would invite him for trials. "He is such a marvellous player with lots of skill and passion for the game. He used his skill to get past our players and he did not need much energy. He just used his magic and you could see that this is something he does every week," Mhlathe said.

"He was their playmaker. Every time they gained possession, they looked for him and he never disappointed them. I have to say he is such a skilful player who can make it in our league. At least it is worth giving him a chance and if he does not make the grade, we will show him his mistakes, send him back and call him again for another assessment," he said.
