Gunners, Sharks share spoils in rugby duel

SELEBI-PHIKWE: EMG Gunners and Francistown Sharks drew in a rugby league match at Makhubu Club over the weekend.

The game started on a high note as the two sides went for each other but as the first half ended the visiting Sharks had the upper hand. In the 30th minute, Keataretse Masabasa scored a try to bring the hosts back into the game. The second half produced some fine tackles and Thani Lesang could have made the ride smooth for Gunners but failed to score a try. Bad luck seemed to be the order of the day for the hosts as their man David Ntshupeng missed another conversion.

The absence of scrum-half Condrad Ntsebe was felt by Gunners as he is the saviour of the side. Ntsebe has relocated to Gaborone. The two army sides seems like they need more experienced players and depth to bring the shine into the match.
