SELEBI-PHIKWE: Eastern Military Garrison (EMG) Gunners are eager to reclaim the Botswana Rugby Union (BRU) League title that they lost to Gaborone Hogs last season.

EMG Gunners were champions for the first time in the league in 2009. The feat meant they became the first club from the north to clinch the elusive title. However, hopes of retaining the title last season vanished at the hands of UB Rhinos, who knocked them out in the semi-finals.

Gunners finished the season in the third spot. Gunners' coach, Neal Gouws, told Mmegi Sport said his side is keen to reclaim the crown. His preparations have been slowed by the unavailability of scrum half, Conrad Ntsebe who has not decided whether to continue playing for the team since his relocation to Gaborone.
