Maxwell 'Malume' Moyo and Stanley Mwaanga have emerged as the frontrunners to succeed Daniel 'Chicco' Nare as coach of struggling Lobatse giants, Extension Gunners.

At a press briefing at the Lekidi Football Centre in Gaborone last week, Gunners' chairperson Ludo Kemoen confirmed reports that they are interested in the two tacticians to fill the void left by Nare's departure to Lobatse rivals, BMC. There have been unconfirmed reports that Gunners have hired Maxwell Moyo who parted ways with ECCO City Greens recently.

Kemoen, however, said they are still in negotiations with the veteran coach as well as Mwaanga whose last job was with Motlakase Power Dynamos. Moyo was fired three weeks ago following ECCO's slump in form that saw them surrender second spot to Mochudi Centre Chiefs after giving leaders, Township Rollers, a run for their money.
